DES PLAINES, IL, March 26, 2013 – Americaneagle.com today announced that the firm, along with client CandyWarehouse, has been awarded the 2013 Internet Advertising Competition Award for “Outstanding Website” for the design of the CandyWarehouse.com website.
The Internet Advertising Competition (IAC) Awards are produced by the Web Marketing Association to honor excellence in online advertising, recognize the individuals and organizations responsible, and showcase the best in award winning digital production. The Web Marketing Association’s expert judges selected the project based on seven criteria: creativity, innovation, design, copywriting, use of medium, memorability, and impact.
CandyWarehouse has been selling candy and candy related products since 1998. The company has been named on Inc. 5000’s List of the Fastest Growing Private Companies in America for the last five years. CandyWarehouse contacted Americaneagle.com to provide a website that accurately represented the candy retailer as appetizing and enjoyable while also displaying the company’s growth and dedication to customer service. To take the business to the next level, CandyWarehouse included Americaneagle.com’s idev® E-commerce Platform to allow customers to purchase delicious candy products with enjoyment and ease.
“As our customer-base, candy selection and company grew, we needed a website that reflected the quality of our products and services as well as addressed the demands of our technically savvy and sophisticated online shoppers. Whether it’s our one-of-a-kind “Shop By Color” menu, interactive Candy Buffet-Builder program, or shipping calculator that is integrated with UPS and the National Weather Service, we have, together with Americaneagle.com, created a website that does not just sell products, but engages the customer with a whole experience – from selecting colors from a palette and designing an entire candy buffet online to being informed on how the weather may affect products in transit and thereby make educated decisions on the best method of shipment,” said Christopher Pratt, President of CandyWarehouse.com.
